The first phase of ticket sales for Glastonbury 2009 has come to an end with anybody placing a deposit on tickets already needing to pay the full price of the ticket before midnight on the 1st of Feb. Officials have announced that after the Olympic games have finished in 2012 they want to organise and plan a range of festivals and art exhibitions on the site so it doesnt become a ghost town. Once the Olympics has finished the site will then take 4 years to convert so the facilities will be used by the public and so that apartments can be built.
