Thats right folks, In 2009 there is a festival being held in Reading called Heavenly Planet, i have spoken about this festival before as it is being held on the same site as the Reading festival. On the 10th and 11th of July you can enjoy a festival organised by the same people who do reading and Leeds.

They did Johnathan Ross, Live Lounge with Joe Whiley, they even performed on the roof of the BBC for an unnanounced gig (unnanounced my arse!! did you see the size of the crowd??!!)

The main act has been confirmed for Glastonbury 2009, Last year saw Jay-Z rip up the rule book on who should be playing the coveted spot at the festival, The main spot is the closing set on the main stage on the Saturday night.

T In The Park as you probably know is one of the major players in the summer festival circuit. Pendulum have been announced as the headliners for this years Dance Island festival in East Anglia. The festival only holds around 10,000 people though with pendulum as the headliners that 10,000 will probably feel like 20,000! Early Bird tickets willhave already sold out for this even.

Now ive spoken about festival food in the past and how good it has got, As the 2009 festival season starts to reveal some of its lineup it go me thinking of Festival Food! When i first went to festivals the food option was pretty bad. You used to have the choice of burgers and chips or if you fancied you could also stretch for a Hotdog! After the first year they stretched to a chinise van though the price of the chinise food was through the roof!

Crackhead (allegedly) Pete Doherty has revealed that the organisers of the Leeds and reading Festival have asked teh Libertines to headline the festival this year. The libertines with Pete Doherty split up a few years ago and the festival have now asked them to rejoin to headline the festival.

Camp Bestival is the first 2009 festival to reveal its lineup. The organisers show that they have been busy over the winter to reveal a lineup which includes some good names including the Cuban Brothers, Erol Alkan and even a festival appearence from Frankie Boyle the channel 4 comedian. also entertaining for the second year in the festivals is Beardyman the human beatbox!
