30,000 Still Owed

The Beachdown festival still owes local businesses in the region £30,000 for services it took for the festival in August! One such supplier provided fork lift trucks for the event and is still owed £3,000 for the service. Many people have been left out of pocket as the festival used local amenities which were not cash rich so not being paid is more of a blow.

I must say, the organisers are not doing a runner; they still have all intention of paying but only when a tax rebate is given to them. Beachdown 2009 tickets have already been put on sale which has annoyed some suppliers as they are still waiting for money when the organisers have money to launch next year’s ticket scheme. Most suppliers though are confident they will get their money and are happy to work alongside the festival next year in 2009.
