Beyonce the wife of Hippidy Hop rapper Jay-z has been talking about how amazed she was at the atmosphere at Glastonbury 2008 when Jay-Z was performing. She said it was like something she had never experienced before (i presume she means a large crowd!) When she was quizzed she was asked if she would like to appear there next year and she said that yes she would love to perform at Glastonbury. 

Many websites are taking this as Beyonce asking to have the headlining spot at Glastonbury. I see this a little different, she was asked a question she was hardly going to turn round and say no!! 

After last year everyone should have learnt never say never, however I’m going to go against that theory and say Beyonce would never take headlining spot at Glastonbury. I wouldn’t say she wouldn’t play there as I’m sure they will get a Gangsta tent for next year were hip hop rules the roost with R’n'B thrown in for good measure. Headlining though…. NO! 

If Beyonce headlined Glastonbury then we might as well reform Steps to perform as the warm up, have Britney come on for a bit of lessin and rename the festival to “Top Of The Glastonbury Pops”
