The Heavenly Planet festival has been the first festival i have heard of that started to sell tickets and then decided to make the festival free, returning the money of people whom had already paid. As a general rule festivals do not have dress codes. You may get a festival like Bestival which will have a fancy dress theme or an event like Sensations white in holland were everybody co-ordinates what they were but apart from that its completely free.

Thats right folks, In 2009 there is a festival being held in Reading called Heavenly Planet, i have spoken about this festival before as it is being held on the same site as the Reading festival. On the 10th and 11th of July you can enjoy a festival organised by the same people who do reading and Leeds.

2008 had some amazing festivals, 2008 was also the year the festival scene started to break. Festivals have been around for a long time bu there seems seems to b more festivals now than there ever has been in the past. Everybody has jumped into the bubble and the bubble started to burst. poor tickets sales, Poor weather, Poor lineups, people will go on all day about why a festival may not sell out but nobody touches on what i feel is the reality, Price!

Officials have announced that after the Olympic games have finished in 2012 they want to organise and plan a range of festivals and art exhibitions on the site so it doesnt become a ghost town. Once the Olympics has finished the site will then take 4 years to convert so the facilities will be used by the public and so that apartments can be built.
