Bono And Glastonbury

Now unless you have been in a cave or simply have no contact with the BBC then you would have noticed U2 all over the place. They did Johnathan Ross, Live Lounge with Joe Whiley, they even performed on the roof of the BBC for an unnanounced gig (unnanounced my arse!! did you see the size of the crowd??!!)

Glastonbury Headliner 2009

The main act has been confirmed for Glastonbury 2009, Last year saw Jay-Z rip up the rule book on who should be playing the coveted spot at the festival, The main spot is the closing set on the main stage on the Saturday night.
In 209 this spot will be taken by……. Bruce Springsteen!!!!

Glastonbury Sells Out

Glastonbury has now sold out for 2009. After the disappointment of the festival not fully selling out in 2008 the organisers took a new approach and started selling the tickets 11 months in advance and it seems to have paid off. The festival has not confirmed any acts yet even though they were slated so much last year all the 2009 tickets have sold out.

No Glastonbury 2012

Glastonbury Organisers are hoping to delay their year off until 2012 so that they don’t clash with the Olympics. The organisers always have a year off now and then (I’m not sure what the gap actually is) to give the land a break and regenerate. The year off is due to be in 2011 but they are hoping to move that to 2012.

Glastonbury Tickets Taken Off Sale

The first phase of ticket sales for Glastonbury 2009 has come to an end with anybody placing a deposit on tickets already needing to pay the full price of the ticket before midnight on the 1st of Feb. This seems a little early to me but no doubt people would have known this when they booked the tickets in the first place.
