T In The Park as you probably know is one of the major players in the summer festival circuit. When all the other festivals fall over themselves organising for their acts to “slip” and reveal were they are playing in the summer, T In The Park seems to be different, Its no nonsense and its one of the best.

Their official launch is scheduled for the spring but so far they have revealed a couple of acts that will be confirmed for 2009. The Killers and Razorlight have been confirmed for the festival and as many will agree they are a great two acts to be announcing. The full lineup for the festival will be announced in the spring.

The first batch of tickets for this years festival sold out within 30 minutes of going on sale, the next batch of tickets will be made available at the festival launch in the spring.

T In The Park 2009

In only a couple of days the tickets will become available for the festival which has just won Beast Lineup at the UK Festival Awards! T In The Park will be announcing that there tickets for 2009 are on sale at 2008 prices. This offer will only run until Christmas so there is not to much time to get the tickets however it could make someone a great present. As with all the festivals tickets have become available really early to give people the maximum amount of time available to get their tickets and pay over the spread. Its not really surprising this is the way they are all doing it now as with the dreaded credit crunch effecting a few festivals last year none of the main players want to be part of that list.

Tickets are available at Ticketmaster and the festival is on Friday 10th – Sunday 12th July 2009.

2008 T In The Park Prices

T in the Park has been awarded best festival in the UK at the Vodafone Live Music Awards. The award was decided by members of the public who all had their chance to vote. The organisers said it was down to the loyalty and dedication of the fans that kept the atmosphere so good. This year at T In The Park the headliners were Verve, Rage Against the Machine and REM, though there was some serious incidents of violence at this years festival they seem to have been overlooked and given the award anyway.

This years festival was the 15th year the festival from scotland had taken place. The sponsors “Tennants” said they ere thrilled the festival and fans had been awarded for their constant loyalty throughout the years.

T Is The Best Festival

Will young has said that he billed his gig at T in the park as being bigger than playing at Glastonbury! The Pop Idol winner is one of the few reality TV winners that has successfullt carved out a carear for himself in the industry. The descision for him to play at T in the park was crticised at the time so obviously he didnt expect much to come from it, it did however turn out to be the suprise gig of the summer for him and one that he places as higer than glastonbury. He was slated for being the POP act ot the festival but he quite rightly argued he was not the only pop act as Amy winehouse isnt exactly indie!

Will has since been back to scotland to enjoy to promote his album.

Will Loves his T

A man was stabbed repeatedly on one of the camp sites at T in The Park this weekend. He was previously reported to have split up an argument previous to the attack. He was stabbed in his chest and in his head. It was only the festivals doctor that kept him alive however now he is in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

In a separate incident a man was found dead in his tent by his friends on Sunday night. Police are yet to establish what the cause of death was but it is not being classed as suspicious.

1 Death & 1 Man Stabed At T In The Park

It has been announced today that the Sugarbabes will no longer be performing at T in the Park. The girl band were due to perform on the main stage on the Saturday but they have now had to cancel due to “scheduling issues”

it all sounds a little organised to me though, If you take a look at the line-up for the event then the sugarbabes stuck out like a sore thumb, do the people who go to T In The Park really want the sugar babes on the main stage just like do Glastonbury goers really want Jay Z taking centre stage there!

Sugarbabes Out of T In The Park

There are a few different ways you could get to T In The Park in 2008, You could travel by train plane or automobile! (i stole that bit from their site!!)

The company Citylink is offering coach trips from all the major towns and cities in Scotland, the organisers have said this is the easiest way to get to and from the  event as the coaches will drop you off right next to the camp site.

If you are coming from a bit further afield then you can fly into the 2 airports in Glasgow or into Edinburgh from where you can get transport taking you into Edinburgh or Glasgow centre from where you can get the citylink coach to get you to the site.

And if you want to go by car…….. Figure it out yourself!!! The organisers want people to leave their cars at home so much that so far they have given no information regarding what the best or recommended route to get their is!

Official tickets for this year’s T in the park have completely sold out. The only official tickets were sold through Ticketmaster and Ticketmaster outlets. Tickets were also made available through Tickets Scotland, Ripping Records, Groove Records and Grouchos. People are asked not to try and buy tickets now for this year as they may not guarantee entry.

T In The Park Have added 5 more acts to this years lineup, the 5 acts will grace the Slam tent which can hold up to 12,000 revelers! The dance music acts that have been confimed are Richie Hawtin, Michael Mayer festival creator Rob DaBank, Miss Kittin & The Hacker and Dusty Kid. These acts will join Erol Alkan on Friday 11th to Sunday 13th July
