The lineup for the V festival in 2009 has now been released along with the sale of tickets. Some of the tickets have already sold out at one of the venues.

For the people who dont know V Festival is held over two days at two different locations. The lineups are the same for both locations though the days alternate. the lineup is as follows:

V Festival 2009 – Lineup

Hot Chip played an electric set last night at the closing of the V Festival which had the crowd won over from the start. Hot Chip who have had a great year this year also performed at Glastonbury. The biggest crowd pleasers were probably to be expected, “Over and Over” and “Ready For The Floor”.

These Chips are HOT!

Mystery has started to surround the performance of the verve this weekend at the V festival. there is a rift in the group that could be putting their performance at the festival in danger. The guitarist McCabe is said to be on the bring of walking out through the pressure of the shear workload of the tour and performing the band is doing. Last week after a festival in Japan he was said to have left and flew home alone without the group.

The other members are playing all this down as roumour and say he just has a finger injury but they will be playing this weekend at V!
