On October 5th tickets will go on sale for Glastonbury 2009, Next years event is priced a little dearer than last year at £175 and you will need to pay a £50 deposit to be able to reserve your ticket, Im sure that giving people a long time to purchase tickets will no doubt stop any rush of people buying tickets (not that there was one last year!)

In 2009 Michael has said that it will be the fairest ticketing system ever, Everyone has an equal chance of getting tickets and that all tickets will be going to genuine festival goers. You still have to register to be able to get a ticket but unlike previous years you will be able to ensure that your friends get tickets as well (if their registered!) He is confident that after the 3 years they have been trialing it, it has proved itself to be a real success, put this together with the ability to pay for your tickets over a period of time and it all gell’s together to make next year a really accessible event for everyone.
