Glastonbury – Biodegradable Camping
This year the organisers of Glastonbury will be giving out 100,000 packs of tent pegs! In past years the thousands of tent pegs that are left behind in the ground have been harmful to the cows that live in the fields for most of the year. The organisers have been working with Millets to develop an echo friendly tent peg that will biodegrade and not be harmful for the cows. The tent pegs that have been developed are made from wheat and potatoes and will start to degrade gracefully a few weeks after the event leaving the cows safe and happy!
