No Glastonbury 2012

Glastonbury Organisers are hoping to delay their year off until 2012 so that they don’t clash with the Olympics. The organisers always have a year off now and then (I’m not sure what the gap actually is) to give the land a break and regenerate. The year off is due to be in 2011 but they are hoping to move that to 2012.

Michael Eavis the organisers have said that this has been done because the Olympics will make it hard to source all the resources that are needed in staging such and event like the toilets, security and even extra trains that will bring people to and from the festival. The Olympics will be using all this so they are taking the year off. Glastonbury currently has its licence ill 2010 and when they are re applying for their licence they are going to be planning to make it better to get to the festival which will include sourcing more trains to get people there.
