Another website has been outed as being fraudulent. You may remember a month or so back i spoke about a couple of websites that had disappeared after not sending out tickets for the reading and Leeds festival, One of which subsequently closed down.

Today the metropolitan police have been hot on the trail again and have closed down a website called www.paperticket.co.uk the company was reported to have debited a staggering £2.5M from peoples debit and credit cards since the website started up earlier this year. Last Friday the website took £120,000 just in the morning.

if you go on the website now you get the following message.

My advice is that don’t buy tickets from any website you have not already heard of. Fraud websites will often have tickets on sale at either a great price or they will have tickets for sale that have already sold out. 

After a 30 second check Ive found that the web address was first registered in february this year. I would have expected a website to be running on such a scale to be a little older than that.
