Poor Weather = Poor Sound

Its a bit of a Reading Festival bashing week this week for me but hay they give me things to write about!

The boss of the festival has had to apologise for the low sound levels that were experienced at this years Reading festival saying that the weather played a major influence on the levels.

The local council dictate what sound levels can be reached by the stages at the festivals. However these levels are levels of noise reached outside the festival and not in front of the stage, Due to the bad weather (I’m guessing wind) the maximum sound levels were reached much earlier than expected meaning the system could not by law be turned up to what the fans wanted. Band such as the killers were effected by this with the sound being described as “un-hearable” at times.

Next year however there have been assurances that this will not happen. Obviously they have developed some sort of weather control machine!
