Unfortunately the king of the comebacks Take That are eyeing up Glastonbury! They are hoping that they get an invitation for a headlining slot in 2009 were they would hope that Robbie Williams would rejoin them to perform for the special gig.

The band are looking for a big stage were Robbie could perform once again as part of the band, There is even talk of him being involved in the next album and going on tour with them when they promote that album.

Again im not sure Glastonbury fans would want Take That on the Stage. Im sure it would go down well and it would attract immense amounts of publicity but it seems Glastonbury is starting to be used by the industry as a PR machine because pop stars playing Glastonbury seem to get really good PR.

If Take That want to do a greatest hits special gig with Robbie Williams then why don’t they organise it? I don’t doubt for one moment that they would have problems selling out any amount of tickets they can make available for it.

Slane castle for example, Robbie Williams performed there on his own, sold out the event for several days and had it televised. If Take That want a pinnacle of their career then surly a solo televised concert in the open air like Robbie did would be the way to go forward.
